German companies pestered by spam are finding that they increasingly have to look within their own country to find those responsible.
Eleven email Security Report for April 2010, published Monday, Brazil and Germany itself accounted Germany sources of spam, following by the USA, which was the top source of spam in January and has now dropped to third place with 14 percent of spam.
The report notes that emailbased malware was spread predominantly in short waves in February and March, mostly during the first five days of ugg boots uk each month. Casino spam dropped to almost nothing as a result of the botnet shutdowns. One campaign, for instance, targeted an internationally operating British bank, requesting targets to enter personal data such as their account number and PIN, along with links to specially prepared Internet pages parked in the domain of a penetrated German sports club that would easily pass all reputationbased web filters.
